Watch Jose Mourinho cry saying he misses football. The Former Man Utd and Chelsea boss has been away from the game since his sacking last year.
If you’re a football fan then you must know the name ‘Jose Mourinho’. The Portuguese is one of the most popular managers in the world and has managed an impressive catalogue of clubs in the past including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Mourinho shocked the footballing world by winning the Champions League with Porto FC in 2003/04. This was the first time since 1994 that a team outside of the big 4 clubs had won the Europe’s biggest prize. He also completed the treble with Porto in their fairy tale season.
He then took his business to Chelsea where he dubbed himself the special one. Mourinho turned the tables on the Premier League and turned the English top flight into a 3-horse race from the Arsenal/United hot potato it was before.
He won the league two times consecutively and then moved to Inter Milan where he completed the treble once again. In doing so, he became on of only 5 coaches to have ever won the Champions League with 2 different teams. He then won the La Liga with Real Madrid before spearheading Chelsea to another Premier League title. However, the law of averages soon caught up with the manager and his charm, luck and most importantly, results deserted him.
The Fall and fall of Mourinho
He was sacked at Chelsea after bringing them close to relegation. He was then employed by Manchester United where he enjoyed a fairly successful 2 season. However, his third season was cut short after the horror start United had in the league where they were closer to relegation than to the top 4.
Since then, Mourinho has not had another coaching stint. He is currently hired as a pundit by Sky Sports but has continually expressed his desire to return to the dugout. A video has now surfaced that shows how he genuinely misses football.

“The moment I went to professional football was when I had the click,” he says in the video.
“Now, it’s serious. It’s serious stuff. It’s been serious stuff until now. Now it’s stopped and instead of enjoy it, I can’t really enjoy it. I miss it.”

We don’t know if or when Jose Mourinho will manage again but we hope it is sooner than later. He is clearly heartbroken and both him and football will become the better of it.
