Watch: Kepa hilariously punished during Chelsea training session for losing the crossbar challenge among the club’s goalkeepers.
Chelsea have been nothing short of phenomenal this season. The expectations at the beginning of the season from Frank Lampard’s boys was to merely avoid relegation. However, that began to seem unlikely after the 4-0 loss to Manchester United in their opening fixture.

Chelsea suffered their second consecutive loss to Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup to confound their misery. However, Lampard was confident of a turn around. Many fans though, were not convinced as the Blues failed to get the desired results.
Many other managers would have gone back to the traditional method of relying on experienced heads. Lampard however, stuck to his guns and continued to place his faith in his younglings. The boys would soon rise to the occasion and Chelsea look like a side transformed now.
The West London side have now strung 7 victories of the trot and look like a dangerous yet exciting side. However, their success hasn’t come by chance. Chelsea’s behind the scenes footage from their training show how seriously the club takes its practice sessions.

In the video from their YouTube channel, we can see several Chelsea stars put through the pace as they train ahead of their trip to Burnley. The goalkeepers had a crossbar challenge among themselves during the session. Unfortunately for Kepa, he ended up being the loser.
As part of his punishment, Kepa was asked to hang on the crossbar with his back to the players. The others then attempted to hit the club’s no.1 keeper with the ball. Luckily for Kepa, neither of the shots found his back.
