You are just too much Leo!

Lionel Messi scored two brilliant goal against Girona last night, as the Nou Camp bowed down to the greatest player that they have ever seen in flesh. The first one showed us why Messi is such an unstoppable force, as the Argentine produced one of his most creative finishes.

Messi found himself in the box, facing the goal keeper and two defenders. The number ten then jinxed past all three, maneuvered space and then slot the ball into the bottom corner to complete a fantastic goal.

The second goal was also a piece of genius, as Messi scored an under the wall freekick, evoking memories of Ronaldinho and Rivaldo in their prime.

Girona had actually taken a shock lead to stun the home crowd. But it was only a matter of time before Barcelona kicked into gear, as the Catalan giants scored through Messi, Suarez and Coutinho.

Suarez scored a hat-trick in the match, as the great Uruguayan continued his impressive form over the last few weeks. Coutinho also scored a brilliant 20-yard curler, as the Brazilian notched up his first goal at the Nou Camp.

This is what Valverde had to say after the match,

“Leo makes things appear easy, but they aren’t easy. It’s hard to judge a performance like this,” he said.

”Just when you think you’ve seen everything from a player, he goes and surprises you once more. We are always waiting to see just how he will raise the bar next.”

“Dembele offers more width, he’s a winger and he’s still very young. He has had problems with injuries which affected his adaption but now he’s back for the important part of the season.

“When a player gets a goal, like Coutinho, it’s a boost for their confidence, which players always need. I think that’s what Dembele was looking for throughout the game. I think that, as the match progressed, they got better and better, especially Dembele.”

“They are moments of the game and the referee decides. I have nothing to say about that. If we have a setback due to an accumulation of bookings, another player will play. We’ll decide what we do.”
