Watch Lionel Messi’s filthy touch from behind his back while training with Barcelona

Watch Lionel Messi’s filthy touch from behind his back while training with Barcelona ahead of their match with Eibar in the La Liga this weekend.

Barcelona’s brilliant campaign had a sour ending last season. While on a course for a treble, the team had to settle for just the La Liga. However, on a personal note, Lionel Messi had a brilliant season last campaign.

The Barcelona and Argentina captain notched up 54 goals last season of which 51 came in Barcelona colors. The Argentine found the net 36 times in the La Liga to pick up his 3rd consecutive Golden shoe award.

However, this season has started rather slowly. Lionel Messi is just returning from an injury and has been far from his best. The Barca talisman though, is well on his road to recovery and looks to hit his peak form very soon, if training footages are anything to go by.

A goal is now but a formality with the Barcelona captain. One has come to expect blinders from him whether it’s in a practice or a game. However, the latest video to emerge from Barcelona’s training session suggests that he is back at doing what he does best; tame the football.

In a video footage that shows Barcelona players playing a game of keep ups, Lionel Messi can be seen letting the ball go over his head. However, in a show of absolute control and deft touch, Messi flicks the ball back in front of him using his heel; while not looking at all.

Lionel Messi now has a record 6th Golden boot to his name. Messi dedicated the award to his teammates, without him, he said, the feat wouldn’t be possible.

Per Barcelona’s website. Messi said:

“Without my team-mates I wouldn’t have scored any goals, this is for everyone, it’s a recognition for the whole team.” He also commented on the aspirations of the team for this season: “The Champions League is special and every year we want to win it, but the league is the most important. The cup too, Barça always compete for everything.”
