WATCH : MS Dhoni arrives at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s reception

India’s last world cup winning skipper, MS Dhoni has made his grand appearance at Virat and Anushka’s reception in Mumbai.

Kohli has often credited MS Dhoni for playing a huge role in his career, as Mahi stuck by Kohli when no one else was ready to give the hot headed Delhi batsman a chance.

Now the skipper of India, Kohli often consults his former captain, as Kohli asking Dhoni has become a common sight during the field. The Kohli-Dhoni axis has become the bedrock of team India’s recent success, and will at least for another two years.

The whose-who of Bollywood made their presence felt at the mega event, as the paparazzi thronged in numbers to the grand reception.

The spacious Astor Ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel hosted the function, and it can host 300 guests. The ballroom is located on the ninth floor of the hotel, and has 23 foot-high ceilings and crystal chandeliers.

It has an area of 6,433 square feet, and is separated into three sections, a long hallway, a pre-function area, the central ballroom and the special Astor Terrace.

Dhoni will now be seen in the ODI and T20I series in South Africa, as Kohli will lead his troops in the test series against the Proteas.

Anushka will accompany her husband, as Kohli will leave for South Africa with the rest of the Indian team in a couple of days time. The Bollywood actress will celebrate New Years together, before departing for India.

India will take part in the highly anticipated series against the Proteas, as team India will try to win in the South Africa for the first time in history.
