Nicolas Pepe has lately come under the radar for his lack of finishing. The Ivorian has shown glimpses of his brilliance. However, he doesn’t have much to show for. Despite his brilliant performance against Sheffield United on Monday, Pepe missed an open goal to earn even more wrath.

Players of a much lesser calibre would have their confidence destroyed but not Pepe. Instead the winger helped Arsenal architect a come from behind victory as the Gunner’s continue their winning streak in the Europa League.

With about 15 minutes left to the game, Arsenal found themselves trailing by a goal. Fortunately, they were handed a reprieve when they were given a free kick from near the box. Nicolas Pepe was handed the responsibility and he did not disappoint as he drove the ball behind the net to find the equaliser.

The second goal at extra time was even better as he bend the ball into the top corner to hand Arsenal a last grasp victory.

Arsenal, last years finalists, are more or less assured of a place in the knock out stages now. But more importantly, it seems that Nicolas Pepe has finally found his feet in the team and this is just bad news for all the other Premier League sides.
