Roger Federer’s retirement from tennis hasn’t stopped him from spreading joy and making an impact on the world. Using his spare time to work tirelessly towards his business and philanthropic goals, Federer is currently in Lesotho in Southern Africa representing his foundation. After reportedly donating over $3 million through the Roger Federer Foundation, the Swiss ace also found time to have some fun with the schoolkids.
The Roger Federer Foundation is primarily focused on improving the quality, and in fact the accessibility in some cases, of education in Switzerland and African countries. As always, whenever Federer goes on a social welfare mission, we get some heartfelt moments to cherish and this time is no different.

While in Lesotho, the whole of the Federer family has been soaking in the culture and spending time with kids there, playing some local games. And the 20-time Major champion naturally can’t resist hopping on a tennis court if he gets the chance.

After attending the conference and giving his keynote speech, Federer also found time to visit a school classroom to see what his good work was helping do. And the good sport that he always is, FedEx also tried his hand at the adorable dance being taught to the surprisingly coordinated kids. In a quintessentially adorable Federer fashion, he follows the instructions himself to do the jig.

20 years of social work
Roger Federer, through his foundation, is responsible for countless such social drives that have helped improve the lives of 2 million children over the last 20 years. Prior to Lesotho, the foundation had initiated such programmes in other African nations like Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia and Malawi alongside his country of birth Switzerland.
But the maestro and his foundation haven’t restricted themselves to just these programmes either. Back during the despairing onslaught of COVID-19, the foundation had donated a million USD, which was used to provide food to over sixty thousand children in Africa.
Covid-19 is a global health and economic crisis. As a humanitarian response, the Roger Federer Foundation has granted one million USD to provide nutritious meals for 64,000 vulnerable young children and their families through our partners in Africa while schools are closed. pic.twitter.com/gkKvoWzVBB

With the great work that Roger and his foundation continue to do, we can expect the man and his golden heart to keep giving us such heartfelt moments to inspire everyone into caring and being better people. He may no longer be competing and winning titles on the court, but he continues to win hearts across the globe.
