Rohit Sharma trolls Rishabh Pant: The Indian limited-overs vice-captain hilariously mocked the young wicket-keeper batsman.

With cricket not happening at any level in the wake of the novel COVID-19, most of the cricketers are taking to their respective social media handles to engage with fans in times when they don’t have much else to do.

Former India opening batsman Wasim Jaffer, former Australia spinner Brad Hogg, New Zealand fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan and India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur are among the many cricketers who have expressed their opinion across facets of the game in one way or the other.

Most recently, England pacers in Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett nailed the “Sexy Kitten Challenge” to entertain their fans and Australia batsman David Warner nominated India captain Virat Kohli to shave his head to show support for COVID-19 workers around the globe.

India limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who was recently seen in an Instagram live session with spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and former England captain Kevin Pietersen, interacted with India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah on the same platform.

The conversation became amusing when Bumrah read out a comment from wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant who challenged Sharma for a six-hitting challenge.

Upon hearing Bumrah say the same, a “confident” Sharma didn’t even appear to consider Pant for a six-hitting challenge. “Saala ek saal hua nahin usko cricket khel ke, chakke ka competition lagayega [He has only played for a year but wants to engage in a six-hitting challenge],” Sharma said jokingly.

Both Sharma, Bumrah and Pant last played for India in the recently concluded tour of New Zealand.
