Takefusa Kubo is the new kid on the block. People have been talking about him since his arrival at the Spanish capital and for good reason too.

The youngster was sought after by several top European clubs. However, the young Japanese agreed to join Real Madrid. Originally thought to have signed for the Real Madrid Castilla, Kubo has been seen regularly training with the senior side. In fact, the teenager made his first team debut against Bayern Munich a few nights back.
Madrid lost the match 3-1 but Kubo impressed many, including Spanish publication Marca, who claimed that the signing of the Japanese starlet was a masterstroke by Real Madrid.
A video of Kubo’s solo goal has now gone viral. The goal was scored during a practice session.

Kubo gathers the ball and quickly turns around beating a player in the process and dodging another. He carries the ball closer to the goal while still taking on another defender before finally placing the ball into the net.
Takefusa Kubo started playing football from the age of 7. He was invited to join Barcelona’s youth Academy, La Masia, after passing their trial. He spent 4 years at Catalonia before moving back to his home country on March 2015 in search of playing time.
Barcelona were reportedly eager to bring him back to Camp Nou. However, it was Real Madrid who snagged the teenager from FC Tokyo for £3 million. Fubo’s contract lasts till the summer of 2024. The youngster has been heavily praised from all corners and Real Madrid will hope that the youngster continues this tremendous development.
