WATCH: Yuvraj Singh winds back the clock as he grabs phenomenon catch to dismiss Lendl Simmons in GLT20 2019

Yuvraj Singh winds back the clock: Former Indian all-rounder put on display exceptional fielding skills against Brampton Wolves.

During the 12th match of the ongoing second season of the Global T20 League 2019 between Brampton Wolves and Toronto Nationals at Brampton, Toronto Nationals all-rounder Yuvraj Singh went back in time to put on display a phenomenal fielding effort to dismiss Brampton Wolves opening batsman Lendl Simmons.

It all happened on the second delivery of the fourth over when Simmons’ attempt to hit Nationals bowler Jeremy Gordon down the ground saw him hitting the ball straight to opposition captain Yuvraj Singh.

Having juggled the ball twice, Yuvraj initially made a mess of what should have been a straightforward catch. That being said, the veteran cricketer kept his eye on the ball and grabbed a diving catch on the third attempt.

Simmons, who opened the batting with George Munsey, ended up scoring 19 (11) with the help of a four and a couple of sixes. Despite losing an early wicket, Brampton went on to post a formidable 222/6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Other than Munsey (66), Babar Hayat scored 48* (18) with the help of two four and five sixes to aid his team to score a match-winning total.

Talking about Yuvraj, the 37-year old cricketer top-scored for his team to score 51 (22) with the help of three fours and five sixes. However, the southpaw’s effort wasn’t enough as Toronto ended up losing the match by 11 runs.
