Watford vs Chelsea Lineup: Predicted Lineup for the Blues in their Premier League encounter against the Hornets this weekend.
Chelsea’s winning streak snapped after enduring a loss against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup. Frank Lampard’s side will want to start anew and create another one as they chase glory in the Premier League.
The Blues will travel to Vicarage Road and hope to return with 3 from their clash against bottom placed Watford. The side will undergo a massive overhaul from the one that played this weekend. Chelsea made 6 changes for the Carabao Cup.
Rare starts were handed to Reece James, Marc Guehi, Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willy, Caballero. However, they are all set to make way for the regular starters for tomorrow night’s match in the Premier League.
Returns and injuries
The Chelsea lineup could see a return of Willian in the place of Hudson Odoi on the right flank. While Reece James and Marc Guehi make way for Cesar Azpilicueta and Fikayo Tomori. Gilmour will likely be replaced by Mason Mount. Unfortunately, despite his impressive showing, Michy Batshuayi will almost certainly make way for the prolific Tammy Abraham.
Kepa should return to his keeping duties after Caballero deputised for him in the Carabao Cup while Christian Pulisic will continue to start in the left wing. The rest of the side should retain their places as well.
Chelsea stars N’Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Emerson Palmieri are sidelined with an injury while Ross Barkley is doubtful after an ankle knock. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marco Van Ginkel are also still recovering from their injuries.
