"We miss him a lot": Yuzvendra Chahal reveals MS Dhoni's preferred seat in team bus

Yuzvendra Chahal reveals MS Dhoni’s preferred seat: The Indian spinner was vocal about the legendary wicket-keeper batsman.

After winning the first two T20Is of the ongoing India’s tour of New Zealand in Auckland, the Indian team has now reached Hamilton where the third T20I will be played on January 29.

The latest episode of Chahal TV, a talk show hosted by India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, was conducted in the team bus when the team was traveling from Auckland to Hamilton.

Apart from speaking to various members of the team during the bus journey, Chahal also remembered legendary India wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It is worth mentioning that Dhoni had last played competitive cricket during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Dhoni had missed the West Indies tour due to his training for the parachute regiment of the Indian Army in Kashmir valley.

While there was no official reason why Dhoni missed the home T20Is against South Africa, he subsequently announced that fans shouldn’t ask him about his comeback till January 2020.

Most recently, Dhoni was in the news when his name wasn’t to be found in the list of annually contracted Indian players.

The video saw Chahal sitting in the last row of the bus and revealing that Dhoni used to sit over here. The spinner further informed that no one sits at Dhoni’s place in the team bus despite him not playing for all these months.

“Yeh woh seat hai jaha ek legend baithte they, Mahi bhai [MS Dhoni]. Abhi bhi yaha koi nahi baithta. Hum unhe bohot miss kate hai [This is the seat where one legend used to sit. No one sits here now. We all miss him a lot],” Chahal was quoted as saying in the video.

Dhoni, who still has a stellar fan base, is highly likely to make his first appearance on the ground in nearly a year during the next season of the Indian Premier League.
