Dwayne Bravo's message for CSK after IPL 2018 win

It was a fixture between CSK and RR that went down to the wire. RR desperately needed to win their match to remain alive in the tournament. And guess what, they did just that!

Batting first, CSK got off to a respectable total on a slow Jaipur pitch. While Rayudu got out early, Suresh Raina set the stadium alight with an explosive half century. The baton was then carried forward by MS Dhoni and Sam Billings.

On a slow wicket, the duo played sensibly to take CSK to 170 odd. This was a good total and it needed a special knock from one of the RR batters. RR tinkered with their batting order and sent Ben Stokes to open along with compatriot Jos Buttler but the move did not work as Stokes was bowled off Harbhajan Singh.

Wickets kept tumbling at the other end as Buttler played a lone hand. Krishnappa Gowtham then came together with Buttler to reach closer to the target. It was Gowtham’s two sixes off David Willey’s over which took the match really close.

Buttler was facing Dwayne Bravo who had 12 runs to defend in the last over. After the first three balls were relatively quiet, Buttler got hold off a slower one from Bravo.

It was a slow length ball outside off and Buttler waited for it. With a solid base, he struck it over midwicket for a towering six. With 2 balls remaining, RR now needed 2 runs off the last two ball and they got there with a ball to spare.

After the game got over, Buttler in an Instagram post expressed his happiness over the win to which Bravo replied.

Here is Buttler’s post-

Special night last night, we keep fighting as a team! Great to support the amazing #CancerOut campaign and show our support! #HallaBol

Amid all the appreciation, Bravo slipped in a funny reply. “Great innings my friend always a joy to see u batting well but will get u next time,” Bravo wrote on the post.

It was all in good humour and was a treat for the fans.
