India’s cricketer, Yuvraj Singh was quick to laud the Spanish side’s gesture. Enamoured by the club and the wish it had sent out in Hindi, Yuvraj replied to the post with, “Wow well done Real Madrid.”
Yuvraj who has retired from Indian duty was last seen on the pitch during the Indian Legends Series. The player accrued 174 runs in 7 encounters to help guide the host side to a triumph as the team defeated Sri Lanka Legends in the showpiece final.
Real Madrid meanwhile are in the midst of a two week international break. The hiatus in play comes at a much needed time for the club with manager Zinedine Zidane under immense pressure as his side floundered in the chase for the La Liga trophy.
The club is currently in third place in the league after winning its last two matches. The side is currently adrift of top spot by six points with Atletico Madrid managing to hold onto their crown at the moment.
Real Madrid face a tricky run of fixtures once football commences with the side drawn up against Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The tie is a much awaited one owing to the impending showdown between Mohamed Salah and Sergio Ramos.
