There is a new tag team in WWE, one that has caught everyone’s attention. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre recently joined hands to face the Usos. Their union is hardly surprising considering their long history. They have been friends and rivals, now they have come together again as partners. It is the rather suggestive name they have taken, however, that’s forced everyone to take a second look just to make sure they’re reading it right.

The former WWE Champions have dubbed themselves The Banger Bros. This name comes from their common love of putting on banger matches. Fans, however, were quick to notice how similar the name was to an adult movie company. But is the WWE aware of it?
WWE Is Aware Banger Bros Name Resembles X-Rated Company
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the WWE are very much in the know regarding how easy it can be to mistake The Banger Bros for a certain company with a similar name. However, as of now, there is no word as to a name change. He wrote:
“There has been some notice that the name Banger Bros for the tag team of Sheamus & Drew McIntyre. Evidently there is a p*rn company called Bang Bros. If the name changes that would be the reason, although we haven’t been told the name is changing, just that there is an awareness of that.”
Sheamus and McIntyre are also well aware of it and have made a few jokes about it on their social media. The Celtic Warrior recently put up a poll asking fans what mode of transport they should use. Unsurprisingly, Banger Bus won the poll with a whopping 63.6% votes.

The rich history between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre
Sheamus and McIntyre have been long time friends, both on and off-screen. Their chemistry was on display during McIntyre’s run as WWE Champion. Despite their opposite alignments at the time, the face and heel duo were praised for having very natural conversations on television.
True to fashion, Sheamus eventually betrayed McIntyre that resulted in a feud between them before the Scottish Warrior turned his attention to Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.
The two have now come together on screen once again, this time as a tag team. However, their bid for tag team gold was squashed by the reigning Undisputed tag team champions, The Usos, on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
It is unclear what their creative direction will be heading into WrestleMania. However, considering their pedigree, fans can expect a banger coming their way.
