How much wrestling does Vince McMahon watch outside of WWE? The WWE Chairman has been credited with making the industry as popular as it is.

Vince McMahon may be a polarizing character among wrestling fans. Very few however, can deny his contributions to the wrestling industry as a whole. The WWE patriarch brought wrestling into the mainstream conscience back in the 80’s and orchestrated it’s rise over the years.

It has been reported that Vince watches his product as much as he can and keeps a close eye on everything. But what about wrestling outside of the WWE. Does Vince McMahon watch any that hasn’t been produced by his company? Jim Ross answered that question on his Grilling JR podcast.

How much wrestling does Vince McMahon watch outside of WWE?

“Vince doesn’t watch other wrestling shows. You’ve heard that from a lot of guys, such as Arn [Former WWE producer Arn Anderson], Bruce [WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard], all those guys. They’ll tell you the same story. He’s not gonna go watch more wrestling, like I did this morning at three o’clock.”

Well can’t blame the WWE Chairman.  Apart from all his responsibilities, he already has over 5 hours of wrestling to keep up with through WWE RAW and SmackDown alone. That number goes to an astonishing 7 hours if you include NXT. However, according to Triple H. there’s a chance Vince hasn’t watched a single episode from start to finish.

The WWE COO said the following during a conference back in 2018:

“I don’t know that he’s ever even watched a full episode of NXT start to finish. He’s busy.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
