WWE News: Huge Title Change at Money in the Bank 2019!

The New Miss Money in the Bank, Bailey, has become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Earlier in the night, Bailey won a 8 women ladder match to become the 3rd women to carry the coveted briefcase and the hugger made the contract count on the same night. In the process she became the 2nd women overall and consecutively (After Alexa Bliss) to cash in the case on the same night they won.

Becky Lynch, the defending champion took on Charlotte Flair immediately after defending her Raw women’s championship against Lacey Evans. It looked like Lynch would walk out of money in the bank with both her titles intact. However, she lost the match after a Lacey Evans interruption. Charlotte celebrated her 9th title reign. The Frustrated Becky then attacked Lacey but Charlotte and Lacey ganged up on the fallen ‘Man’.

Bailey then ran in for the save but was taken out by Charlotte. The Queen in trying to add to Bailey’s misery, went for the spear. The Hugger got out of the way instead causing Flair to crash in to the turnbuckle.

Sensing an opportunity, Bailey immediately cashed in her contract and pinned Charlotte to win her first SmackDown Women’s Championship.

She has now become the fourth woman after, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch to have held both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s titles. She is also the first woman to win the Nxt Women’s Championship, the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship along with the Women’s tag titles, making her the first Grand Slam champion of the WWE women’s division.

WWE Money in the Bank 2019 is streaming live on the WWE Network.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
