Sportskeeda have reported that outspoken politician has expressed his desire to be a part of SmackDown and wants to make an appearance. His team is currently in talks with the WWE and Fox are also a part of the negotiations.
Trump remains the only U.S president to have been inducted in the WWE’s hall of fame and the only one to appear at a wrestling show. While Barrack Obama and George Bush have also made an appearance at the WWE, they only appeared in the form of pre-recorded presentation.

Trump, reportedly wants to be booked in a manner that will be bigger than Obama. However, the WWE are reluctant to air too much air time to him. They fear that he may turn his appearance to a presidential performance. WWE may instead opt for a contained and pre-recorded message considering logistical concerns, like safety and production issues. FOX seem pleased with the way proceedings are progressing.
Donald Trump and the McMahon Family
Vince McMahon and Donald Trump have a long and storied history. The two billionaires go long back. Trump sponsored WrestleMania IV and V in 1988-1989 when WWE were in dire need of financial support. He was also present at WrestleMania 20, and, most notably, participated in a feud with Vince McMahon in the mid-2000s that culminated with a hair vs. hair match fought by Umaga and Bobby Lashley on their behalf at WrestleMania 23. Following that match, he was even the on-screen owner of WWE for a very brief period.
Vince McMahon’s wife, Linda, served as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration on the president’s staff. She is now the Chairman of America First Action, a pro-Trump Super PAC.
