Cameron Grimes won the triple threat match by pinning Kushida and booked his spot at the aforementioned ladder match. Dream then turned heel by attacking the already fallen Kushida. Finn Balor then came out and the show concluded with the two having a staredown.
This was Velveteen Dream’s first appearance on WWE TV after almost 6 months. However, there have been plenty who would have been happier had he stayed away for longer.
Dream, real name Patrick Clark, has been accused of sending indecent images to underage boys on Instagram. He is also believed to have had inappropriate communications with underage boys as well as grooming them amidst the Speaking Out movement.
He also made headlines in June this year after new allegations were made that he sent a sexually explicit photo to an underage girl.
Velveteen Dream’s return to NXT sparks online rage
The Velveteen Dream situation is a perfect example of why sexual assault victims don’t speak out more often. Here’s a man who pervertedly solicited underage kids, with damning evidence, with ZERO repercussion from his employer, without so much as an apology or a shred of remorse.

i remember thinking that wwe firing jack gallagher and travis banks was completely performative, just cannon fodder to look as if they gave a shit about the movement, the fact that matt riddle and velveteen dream are being so prominently featured just confirms that

reminder:
WWE fired Enzo Amore due to LIES and ACCUSATIONS of pedophilia and rape-he was later found INNOCENT and is still blacklisted
while velveteen dream was proven to sent nudes to underage kids and is brought back
…..Yeah another reason why i prefer the games ovdr tv

Some of y’all on here were calling for Sammy to be wiped off the earth even after he served his suspension. There was audio, photos and DM’s from Velveteen Dream showing pedophilia behavior and his reward was getting back on WWE programming. Absolutely shameful.

Velveteen Dream should not be on TV.

Show me the money
Clarke has denied all these allegations. Innocent until proven guilty, true, but what does it say about the WWE when guys like Jack Gallagher, Enzo and Austin Theory were released even. There was no substantial proof in their case either but it didn’t matter.
Matt Riddle, who was also accused of sexual conduct, continues to be pushed on WWE TV while Dream, who has just turned heel, is likely going to get more screen time as well.
Clearly the higher ups see money in both of them. This has been the deciding factor in WWE’s decision to handle their case differently than the ones they saw as dispensable.
It will be interesting to see how the audience react to the 24-year old and what impact does that have going forward for him within the promotion.
