Cameron Grimes won the triple threat match by pinning Kushida and booked his spot at the aforementioned ladder match. Dream then turned heel by attacking the already fallen Kushida. Finn Balor then came out and the show concluded with the two having a staredown.

This was Velveteen Dream’s first appearance on WWE TV after almost 6 months. However, there have been plenty who would have been happier had he stayed away for longer.

Dream, real name Patrick Clark, has been accused of sending indecent images to underage boys on Instagram. He is also believed to have had inappropriate communications with underage boys as well as grooming them amidst the Speaking Out movement.

He also made headlines in June this year after new allegations were made that he sent a sexually explicit photo to an underage girl.

Show me the money

Clarke has denied all these allegations. Innocent until proven guilty, true, but what does it say about the WWE when guys like Jack Gallagher, Enzo and Austin Theory were released even. There was no substantial proof in their case either but it didn’t matter.

Matt Riddle, who was also accused of sexual conduct, continues to be pushed on WWE TV while Dream, who has just turned heel, is likely going to get more screen time as well.

Clearly the higher ups see money in both of them. This has been the deciding factor in WWE’s decision to handle their case differently than the ones they saw as dispensable.

It will be interesting to see how the audience react to the 24-year old and what impact does that have going forward for him within the promotion.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
