WWE President Nick Khan reportedly led charge of the most recent firings and was even willing to take the heat for it. It is still unclear what his motives are. There is widespread speculation that the WWE is gearing up for a sale. Why has Nick Khan been pushing for releasing WWE Superstars?

“This Nick Khan stuff, and I mean, I’m sure it was probably Nick Khan for whatever reason an his job is to maximize profits whether it’s to sell the company and make it look good for a sale or make it look good for the stock market, or whatever it is. It’s his job. He’s the one engineering letting go of the stockpiling which the company did for so long. Now they are not doing it. They are getting rid of the people they don’t need or they’ve used up so they aren’t necessarily even that valuable on the outside.”

It remains to be seen if the WWE will continue release talent they see no need for or are they done for the year. While most people they released may not be as valuable to the WWE anymore, they can still prove to be beneficial to other promotions.

Some may even make their way back to the promotion and become stars. The precedent has already been set by Drew McIntyre and to an extent Jinder Mahal.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
