Punk himself was one of WWE’s most influential stars. At his peak, he was comparable to golden goose John Cena in the pecking order. In fact, a feud between the two was teased back in 2013/14. A fan brought that up on social media and asked whether it would have been the greatest match of all time. Punk had a rather amusing answer to the question.

“Back in 13-14 you almost faught @steveaustinBSR do you think that would have been the greatest match of all time?” the fan asked.

“Would’ve been short. GTS, 1 2 3.” Punk replied.

Stone Cold was the WWE’s trump card during the Monday Night Wars against WCW. Unfortunately, a series of injuries cut his WWE Career short. CM Punk on the other hand played the role of Cena’s foil to perfection. Together, they gave the WWE their first Meltzer rated 5 star match of the current millennium.

The aforementioned feud that was hinted between the two was when Punk was the WWE Champion. Unfortunately, it was merely a marketing gimmick to promote the WWE 2K13 game and nothing came off it.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
