WWE announce host of matches for NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day

WWE announce host of matches for NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. Every title in the promotion bar the tag titles will be defended on the pay per view.

The rest of the world will celebrate Valentine’s day on February 14^th. For the WWE however, they will be looking for something quite the opposite of love. NXT will host TakeOver: Vengeance and the card is looking quite brutal at the moment.

A few more matches were announced on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. The promotion had already announced the Women’s Championship triple threat match last week. Tonight, a couple more championship matches were added to the card.

Finn Balor’s defence of the NXT Championship at TakeOver: Vengeance Day was confirmed tonight. The two time champion will face Pete Dunne at the pay per view. If the NXT title isn’t enough motivation to win the match, Royal Rumble winner Edge even teased a Wrestlemania match against the winner of this match.

Another match added to the card was the North American Championship match. Johnny Gargano will face Kushida at the Pay per view with his title on the line.

Io Shirai’s defence of her NXT Women’s championship against both Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez in a triple threat match was already announced last week.

Apart from the title matches, the pay per view will also feature the finals of both the men’s and women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
