WWE’s reported plans for Retribution

WWE’s reported plans for Retribution. The faction has wreaked havoc on WWE Television for the last several of weeks.

The WWE have introduced a new faction called Retribution. The group appear on WWE shows at random and leave disasters in their wake. They have made their presence felt on both RAW and SmackDown. However, they have only made two appearances in the last 5 WWE shows.

Despite multiple reports suggesting that Retribution would interfere in the match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton, the group was nowhere to be seen on SummerSlam. They then showed up on RAW but missed out on SmackDown and Payback before appearing on RAW again last night.

This has led to multiple speculations and theories from fans. However, according to  POST Wrestling, WWE’s reported plans for Retribution is to restrict them to RAW. This would explain their absence from shows on the Blue Brand and the PPV.

In storyline however, how do you explain going from attempting to gang up on Braun Strowman and the Fiend to completely abandoning the show altogether? Last we checked SmackDown is still WWE.

One interesting theory is that new Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the leader of Retribution. The faction are yet to make their presence felt on WWE programs that feature the Big Dog. It would be interesting if the WWE take that route.

Hopefully we will have our answers in the coming weeks and the storyline will have an actual conclusion instead of being swept under the rug.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
