Earlier this year in June, Vince McMahon had to contend with a series of allegations against him that led to his brusque retirement in late July. For those not in the know, Wall Street Journal published an article in June stating that Vince McMahon paid multiple women millions of dollars in hush money to cover up his s**ual affairs. After his retirement, WWE had to make do without Vince’s management. Surprisingly, during his absence, not only did the company cope but thrived under the new leadership with Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H as three key people at the helm.
A new report from Wall Street Journal revealed the new demands from two women who have accused McMahon of s**ual misconduct.
The report further states that Vince McMahon is looking to return to his position of power as he claims that he was given “bad advice” from close people who talked him into stepping down as the CEO of WWE.
The idea of Vince’s return to the fray is not sitting well with a lot of people backstage.
WWE higher-ups are reportedly not happy with the idea of Vince McMahon’s return
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE employees are not very excited to learn about Vince Mcmahon’s return. Contrary to the excitement that the former boss’s return should bring to the company, news about his potential return is met with disappointment in several employees including those who have a positive relationship with Vince Mcmahon. One of the higher-ups stated that Vince’s return would be a “selfish move”.
Numerous WWE higher ups that I’ve spoken to in recent months have indicated to us they want nothing to do with that and are happy with the direction.
I haven’t heard one person there itching for a Vince return. https://t.co/vxvceBDTCi

Other employees reportedly believe that Vince’s return could do “irreparable damage” to the brand. Overall, by the looks of it, Vince McMahon is not wanted back in the company by his employees. There is also this belief that Vince’s return could mean bad news for former fired superstars who were reinstated following his retirement.
Vince McMahon is hit with over $11 million lawsuit by his alleged victim
The new report from WSJ includes Rita Chatterton, Vince McMahon’s alleged rape victim, demanding compensation of over $11 million from the former boss. Chatterton was employed by McMahon back in the 80s and was the first-ever female referee.
In an interview with Geraldo Rivera in 1992, Chatterton exposed Vince McMahon and accused him of having his way with her in his limo. Although the matter was corroborated, Vince denied all claims made by her.

Rita Marie Chatterton was the first female referee in WWE in the ’80s. She got into Vince’s limo to discuss her contract, but was forced to have oral sex to save her career.

On November 3, Chatterton’s lawyer wrote a demand letter to McMahon’s attorney, as noted by WSJ. The letter demanded a sum of $11.75 in restitution from McMahon for years of “ongoing depression” he caused to Rita Chatterton.
Very little is known about what happened next as Vince McMahon refused to comment on the matter when he was approached by the Journal.
