Vince McMahon has managed to become the talk of the wrestling world after his unexpected return to the WWE. Using his position as the controlling stockholder, he powered his way back into the board. This came as a surprise to several fans, who believed that he was finally done after he formally announced his retirement last year. However, those in the know claim that this was always on the cards. In fact, it was never a matter of if, but always a matter of when. Some have even suggested that he was plotting this the entire time he was away from the company.

Fans have since expressed concern that the Executive Chairman will soon get his hands on creative and run the on-screen product as he desires. However, it appears that there may be even bigger concerns looming ahead, with a certain report suggesting that nothing that is happening now was a spur of the moment decision.
Was Vince McMahon plotting his revenge during his retirement from WWE?
While speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine, Bill Apter talked about Vince’s return to the helm. He claimed that the WWE Chairman was plotting his revenge during his hiatus from the promotion.
“I hate to say this, but his rest is plotting revenge. Really, that’s him. I wanna take the time machine back to what I have seen in him. I have known him since the late 70s, when I used to see him backstage at the WWWF. You could always see him looking for angles. And I don’t mean only wrestling angles. Business angles to do something.”
This is in line with Nick Khan’s recent statement on Vince’s retirement. The CEO of the promotion said:
“Anyone who believed that [his retirement] was permanent, doesn’t know him. That was never gonna happen,” Khan said during a recent appearance on the Bill Simmons Podcast. “From the inside, it’s not that insane to me…my thought has always been ‘there’s only one boss at WWE, and it ain’t me.’”
Khan also added that both he and Stephanie McMahon expected Vince to return eventually one day.
Will Vince McMahon appear as an on-screen character?
Before his abrupt retirement, Vince McMahon was a regular on WWE TV. He even had a WrestleMania match against Pat McAfee before he found himself at the receiving end of a Stunner by old nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Even after the show of shows, Vince was regularly featured on WWE television in hopes of giving a rub to Austin Theory. However, when asked if the WWE patriarch would be back on their weekly programs anytime soon, Khan answered in the negative.
“No is the answer to that question,” Khan said.
He did add that it could change in the time to come. However, that would require Vince McMahon and Triple H to be on the same page about it.
