Ten years ago, Rohit Sharma was a budding youngster who had just making his mark in international cricket. The 20-year old batsman had an impressive start to his career, as his classy stroke play won him fans all over the world.

In a recent interview, Rohit spoke about his initial days in the Indian team and also revealed that he afraid of Yuvraj Singh. Back then, the southpaw was at the peak of his powers, as Yuvi was one of the most exciting batsmen in the game at that point.

The left hander was also a big bully, as Yuvraj would often pick on the youngsters, including Rohit. The Mumbai Indians skipper remembers those times, as he did not speak to Yuvi for the first few months of his international career.

Yuvi has warmed up to Rohit though over the years, as the southpaw has now off officially joined the Rohit Sharma Fan Club.

Rohit has now firmly established himself as one of the very best limited overs batsmen in world cricket, with his statistics rivaling those of his compatriot Virat Kohli.

Rohit’s leadership qualities have been on show in the recent ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, as the opener has already played two crucial knocks when his side needed him the most.

His third double century in a must-win ODI against Sri Lanka was awe-inspiring, as the Hitman was in supreme form that day.

He then matched that innings by equaling the fastest ever T20I hundred in Indore, when he once again slayed the Lankan attack to all corners of the ground.

After a stellar home season in 2017, Rohit will now be looking to make a mark overseas, as team India will travel abroad to South Africa, England and Australia next year.

Yuvraj, who is one of the best limited overs players that India has ever produced, sent a fantastic tweet to Rohit congratulating him on his century.
