10 Premier League records Liverpool can break or match by the end of the 2019/20 season. The Reds have been a class apart this campaign.
The Reds are on course for a fantastic season. 19 wins and 20 games and a 13-point lead in the League with a game to spare goes to show how dominant Liverpool have been this term. They have broken several records in the process, there are still many more that the side can bag within this season itself.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have gone a whole year in the Premier League without a loss. Their last defeat came at the hands of Manchester City in January last season; which unfortunately cost them the title.
However, this time they’ve come back stronger. Their players look hungrier and have established themselves in the hunt for an elusive treble as well as an unbeaten season; both of which look extremely realistic at the moment.

Let us now take a look at the 10 Premier League records Liverpool can break or match by the end of the 2019/20 season.
1) Best start in the Premier League after 21 matches
Perhaps the least irrelevant of all the records in the list but one regardless. The record currently lies with the reigning Premier League champions who bagged 59 points at this stage during the 2017/18 season. Should Liverpool beat Tottenham on Saturday, they will have 61 points and the record to their name.
2) The new invincibles
The only team in the Premier League to have previously managed to have achieved this feat is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side in the 2003/04 season. Liverpool have managed to go past the half-way mark without a loss and could very realistically share the record with the Gunners by the end of the season.
3) First side in the Premier League to go 50 matches unbeaten
Surely becoming the invincibles will help the side tremendously in getting this record to their name. Like the previous record, this one currently belongs to Arsenal with 49 games. Liverpool, who are currently on 37 games unbeaten, could equal this record should they manage to avoid defeat against Manchester City on April 4th while also doing the same for all the matches in between.
The next match against Aston Villa the following would then be the landmark match where they could become the first team to reach 50 matches unbeaten in the Premier League.
4) Most days unbeaten
Liverpool have very recently completed a whole year without losing a game in the Premier League. An impressive feat. However, it pales in comparison to Arsenal’s 537 days without succumbing to any side in the Premier League.
Should Liverpool manage to pull off an invincible season, they will overtake Arsenal on the 23rd of June in the summer.
5) Most Consecutive home wins
Liverpool have 18 consecutive wins at the Anfield at the moment and are extremely close to surpassing Manchester City’s tally of 20 consecutive home wins. Their next 3 home fixtures are Manchester United, Southampton and West Ham.
6) The first Premier League side to win all their home games
An extension of the previous point; Liverpool haven’t been beaten at their home ground since April 23rd 2017. In fact, they have won all their games at the Anfield this season. If the Reds continue to do the same for the rest of the season, they will become the first side to win all their home matches.
No other side has ever achieved this feat. (Chelsea (2005/06), Man Utd (2010/11) and Man City (2011/12 and 2018/19) have come the closest with 18 wins each. Liverpool have already won 11 matches and only need to win 8 more.
Their remaining fixtures at home are: Man Utd, Southampton, West Ham, AFC Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Burnley and Chelsea.
7) Most away wins in a season
This is a very tricky record to possess as Liverpool can only afford a single failure to win an away match for the rest of the season. Manchester City are the current holders of this record with 16 wins in the 2017/18 season.
With 8 wins in 9 away games, Liverpool will have to win 9 out of their next 10 away games in the Premier League.
8) Most consecutive wins
Manchester City won 18 consecutive matches in the Premier League during their 2017/18 season. Liverpool could have very well had this record to their name by now if not for the draw against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
As things stand, Liverpool have since recorded 11 consecutive victories since. Should they manage to beat Watford on February 29th and all the other teams in between, this record will belong to Liverpool. However, another loss or draw will put this record out of their reach; at least for this season.
9) Most wins in a season
Manchester City are also the holders of this record with 32 wins in a season. Liverpool currently have 19 wins out of 20 games. Should they go on to win 14 of their remaining 18 games, they will overtake City once again.
10) Most points in a season
Manchester City became the first team to reach 100 points in the Premier League during the 2017/18 season. Should Liverpool manage to pull off 14 more wins and a draw in their next 18 games, they will both eclipse City’s record of most wins in a season but also register the most points in a single season of the Premier League regardless of what happens in the other 3 matches.
