2019 Hero Intercontinental Cup fixtures and schedule: Sportrush brings fixtures and schedule for the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2019.

AIFF has released the official dates of 2019 Hero Intercontinental Cup, which will be organized by India, while hosting three foreign teams namely Tajikistan, DPR Korea and Syria.

India are the defending champions of the tournament, as they won the last edition after defeating Kenya in the final. The Blue tiger will be looking forward to win the tournament once again.

The EKA Arena in Ahmedabad will host the event, from July 7-18. AIFF, on Monday, announced the full set of fixtures for the second edition of the four-team tournament.

The tournament is based on a round robin format and the top two teams stage will qualify for the final, which is scheduled on July 18.

India will play their opening match against Tajikistan on 7th July. Later, on 13th July against DPR Korea, and then followed by Syria on 16th July.

According to the latest FIFA rankings released in April 2019, Syria are ranked 83rd followed by Tajikistan on 120 and DPR Korea at 121st spot. India currently occupy the 101st position in the rankings.

This will be second tournament under the charge of new manager Igor Stimac, as he already made debut for the Indian team at the King’s Cup in Thailand, where India secured the third position in the tournament.

The Hero Intercontinental Cup 2019 fixtures are as follows:

July 07: India vs Tajikistan

July 08: Syria vs DPR Korea

July 10: Tajikistan vs Syria

July 13: India vs DPR Korea

July 15: DPR Korea vs Tajikistan

July 16: India vs Syria

July 18: Final
