India Vs Curacao: Here is how India could lineup against Curacao in the opening game of the Kings Cup.
The Kings Cup will kick start for the 47th time at Chang Arena in Buriram, Thailand on Wednesday. India will start the proceedings against Curacao in an early kick at 2:00 PM IST.
This is India’s first game after the agonising defeat against Bahrain in the AFC Asian Cup on January 14th. Weeks before this tournament, All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed the arrival of the Croatian manager Igor Stimac in a three-year contract. His first assignment is to lead India in the Kings Cup.
India will compete with Curacao, Thailand, and Vietnam for this prestigious trophy. With only four games in this tournament, every coach will strive for perfection and clinch the trophy.

In the pre-match press conference, Igor Stimac iterated that he concentrates on the transition, rather than immediate fortunes.
“Tomorrow, it’s more about how we play. We have to build a team and it’s for us to show how we can play. The result is important but for us, it is critical to show how much we can assimilate the information given to us by the coach and produce it on the pitch.”
Besides, the Croat has hinted that few younger players, who have been included for the first time could feature in the starting lineup as he likes to test the whole squad in the early stages his stint with the country.
“I see a lot of desire among the new boys. Who knows, a few boys could start for the senior team against Curacao. So it will be a huge moment for them. I remember how I felt when I made my debut and it’s truly magical, a moment you never forget. I wish them all the luck and really hope they do well.” said Stimac.
