5 deals that could go through before Thursday’s Premier League transfer deadline
Daniele Rugani (Juventus to Arsenal)

Arsenal have made a few key signings this summer. However, they are still in the hunt for defenders. The move will have to be a loan on account of the Gunners exhausting their transfer budget already. They are looking to sign RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano or Juventus’ Daniele Rugani. However, Upamecano’s deal has proven to be very complicated and they have turned all their attention towards Rugani now.
Daniele Rugani is a promising Italian Centre back who plays for Juventus. He is a tall, tactically versatile player who is good in the air, both offensively and defensively. He is a very correct player in the sense that he prefers to avoid challenges and instead restricts his opponents through positioning. However, Rugani has struggled for game time at Juventus, making only 20 appearances last season.
Arsenal believe that Rugani could prove to be invaluable. To that end, they have even offered to take the centre back on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy. However, Juventus have turned down the offer despite bringing in Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax. Concerns over Giorgio Chiellini’s fitness have meant that Sarri is uneasy over letting Rugani leave.
However, in what should come as good news to Arsenal fans, Standard Sport have reported that Rugani is eager to join the club. A £70,000-a-week basic wage has already been agreed with Rugani have yet to be confirmed.
