WATCH: Eoin Morgan hilariously pinpoints Kane Williamson’s weakness ahead of 2019 World Cup Final
Eoin Morgan hilariously pinpoints Kane Williamson’s weakness: English captain was vocal about his counterpart’s weakness.
The final match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be played between New Zealand and England at Lord’s tomorrow. The title clash will put an end to an awe-inspiring tournament which has been into play since May 30.
Despite making it to the final of the tournament, New Zealand are still being considered as the “underdogs”. On the other hand, hosts England were always expected to be present in this situation.
Given their solid performance across departments in their home conditions since ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, this remained their best chance of lifting their maiden World Cup trophy.

As far as lifting the trophy is considered, even New Zealand haven’t had that opportunity. Into their second final in a row, New Zealand will be looking to make amends this time round.
Eoin Morgan hilariously pinpoints Kane Williamson’s weakness
Speaking on the eve of the final during the press conference, England captain Eoin Morgan was asked about a weakness in his counterpart Kane Williamson. Highlighting the weakness of a batsman who has scored 548 runs in nine matches at an average of 91.33 including a couple of centuries and half-centuries each in the tournament is no mean task.
Morgan, who perhaps couldn’t think of a suitable weakness, ended up giving a hilarious answer to the reporter. “His backing up, I think,” Morgan was quoted as saying as everyone enjoyed a laughter together.

The 32-year old cricketer was referring to Williamson’s run-out in New Zealand’s last league match against England at Chester-le-Street earlier this month. The New Zealand skipper was backing up too far which costed him his wicket as the ball ricocheted from Mark Wood’s fingertips to the stumps.
