Romelu Lukaku says Jay-Z is very happy he left Manchester United and joined Inter-Milan. The rapper also helps him improve off the pitch.

Romelu Lukaku has had a very eventful summer. The Belgian swapped Mino Raiola for Federico Pastorello. He was then involved a long-drawn transfer saga involving Manchester United, Inter Milan and Juventus before finally joining Antonio Conte at the San Siro.

He has since scored two in two for his new club before becoming a victim of racist chants at Cagliari. The Racism notwithstanding, it seems Lukaku is enjoying his time at his new club. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Italia, Via FC Inter News, the Belgian revealed that the move was supported by Jay-Z as well.

Jay Z is the founder of Roc Nation. Lukaku has a deal in place with Roc Nation that looks after all non-footballing matters for him. Lukaku said:

“After the move with Inter, Jay-Z said he was very happy for me. (…) He helps me with everything that isn’t sport related, since I have my agent Federico Pastorello for that.

“Jay-Z does my marketing, and everything that helps me become a business man. We normally talk about life in general, he gives me advice on how I can improve off the pitch. He contributes a lot, and we’re happy to be a part of the Roc Nation Family”.

Lukaku is currently on International duty with Belgium. He will face San Marino and Scotland with his team. Lukaku has scored 48 international goals, making him Belgium’s most prolific scorer. If he manages to eek out a couple of goals in his next two matches, he will become the first from his country to breach the 50-goal mark.
