Liverpool Transfer News: Jurgen Klopp and Solskjaer interest on Ajax star confirmed by Dutch football expert

Donny Van de Beek is reportedly keen on a Premier League switch with a host of clubs lining up a bid for his services.

Donny Van de Beek has been scouted by plenty of clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur on numerous occasions, as confirmed by the journalist named Marcel van der Kraan.

The Dutch midfielder scored against Real Madrid, Juventus, and Tottenham Hotspur in the knockout stages of the Champions League. With outstanding performances, he gathered interest from several parts of Europe, but he is keen on a Premier League switch in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old managed to bag 17 goals and 13 assists throughout in all competitions having played in the advanced midfield position under Erik Ten Haag.

Van der Kraan believes that Van de Beek would fit into any of the top six sides, as he fits into the robustness and intensity of the Premier League.

“Indeed, van de Beek is probably the biggest chance of having a move,” Van der Kraan said of the Ajax contingent who could depart Amsterdam this summer.

“If I had to put my money on one I’d say, Donny van de Beek will go at some stage this summer.

“He is a perfect back-up for many clubs. I know he’s not the number one for many clubs.

“I’ve seen scouts from Tottenham, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle all at the Amsterdam Arena looking at him.

“They’ve turned up no end of times looking at other players but we know from the agent the player has been looked at. They’ve all weighed him up.

“He’s an ideal player for the Premier League, he’s got the skills like most Ajax players, he’s got a big tank, he can run all day.

“But all these clubs have a priority list and van de Beek seems the perfect back-up for the big clubs.

“They have a No 1 but not all the clubs can sign their No 1 so van de Beek is waiting patiently. If it comes right, he’ll do it.

“I think he’s keen for the Premier League, more than the German or Italian leagues.”

Asked about speculation regarding his future with Ajax, van de Beek said to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo at the UEFA Nations League earlier this month: ”I have a contract with Ajax, now I’m focused on the national team.

”It’s nice that my name is associated with Barcelona, I have to play better, better and better and we’ll see in the future, you never know what can happen.”
