IPL 2020 News: Dale Steyn ‘happy to deliver’ for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020
Dale Steyn ‘happy to deliver’ for Mumbai Indians: The legendary fast bowler has shown interest in the upcoming IPL 2020.
Legendary South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn was included for a second stint with Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last season of the tournament.
Steyn, who was brought in as a replacement for injured Australia fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile, picked four wickets in two matches at an average of 17.25, an economy rate of 8.62 and a strike rate of 12.
It was a shoulder niggle which not only ruled Steyn out of the match against Kings XI Punjab but also from the tournament and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
36-year old Steyn was part of the 12 players released by Royal Challengers ahead of IPL 2020 auction. It was the franchise’s new coach Mike Hesson who announced the reason behind releasing Steyn for IPL 2020.

Taking to his social media platform Twitter yesterday, Steyn conducted a ‘Q&A’ where he answered the queries of his plentiful fans. As expected, Steyn also ended up answering IPL-related questions. Among one of the question was if Steyn is interested in playing for defending champions Mumbai Indians.
“If they [Mumbai Indians] want me, I’ll happily come and deliver,” Steyn answered.
