WATCH: Virat Kohli gets applause from Ebadot Hossain post glorious cover drive at Eden Gardens
Virat Kohli gets applause from Ebadot Hossain: The Indian captain receive approbation from the bowler himself at the Eden Gardens.
During the first day of the second Test of the ongoing Bangladesh’s tour of India at the Eden Gardens, India captain Virat Kohli hit a glorious cover drive off Bangladesh pacer Ebadot Hossain. With Hossain applauding the Indian skipper, it spoke highly of the quality of the shot.
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 17th over when Kohli put every aspect of batting in the right position to put on display a perfect cover drive.
Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the 13th over, Kohli got off the mark with an unconvincing boundary through the third-man region. Since then, Kohli made amends to rarely play a false shot against the Bangladeshi bowlers.
The 31-year old player gave further glimpse of his skills after hitting three fours in consecutive overs off the Bangladeshi bowlers.
It is worth mentioning that Kohli had become the fastest captain to score 5,000 runs in Test matches. Both Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara stitched an impressive 94-run partnership in the third session of the match. While Pujara got out after scoring 55 (105), Kohli is batting in the middle alongside India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane.
