Jofra Archer disturbed by racial insults: The English fast bowler took to social media platform Twitter to share his disappointment.
England fast Jofra Archer has opened up on receiving “racial insults” during the fifth day of the first Test of the ongoing England’s tour of New Zealand.
Archer took to social media platform Twitter to make public the unfortunate development. While Archer criticized a member of the crowd, he also praised the rest of the crowd especially ‘The Barmy Group’ for their support during the match.

Archer, who came in to bat at No. 8 in the 81st over, batted well to score 30 (50) with the help of five fours. Archer was seen sharing a 59-run partnership for the ninth wicket alongside all-rounder Sam Curran (29*) before getting out in the 97th over.

Going by ESPNcricinfo, Archer mentioned that the offender had passed comments with respect to the colour of his skin. The 24-year old cricketer further said that he also received more insults from the same offender on social media platform Instagram.

As far as Archer’s bowling performance in the Test match is concerned, he picked a solitary wicket in the 42 overs that he bowled in the match. While Archer was in the limelight for bowling outright pace, he couldn’t manage to dismiss the opposition batsman.
New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner was the pick of their bowlers as he registered his eighth five-wicket haul to propel his team to victory. Having registered bowling figures of 19.2-6-44-5, the 33-year old bowler played a vital role in bundling out England for 197 in 96.2 overs.
New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman BJ Watling, who batted for more than 160 overs in a match-winning effort, was declared the Man of the Match for scoring his maiden Test double century, 205 (473), with the help of 24 fours and a six.
