Arsenal Transfer News: Carlo Ancelotti in a contention to join Arsenal as he is speculated to leave Napoli soon.
Position of manager at Arsenal is still vacant after the departure of Unai Emery, even though Freddie Ljungber has been assigned as a caretaker manager. But his job extension at the club is still not guaranteed.
Amidst all of this, according to Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti has appeared as one of the favourite candidates to fill the position at the North London club.

Ancelotti is not having a great time at Napoli, as his side is at an underwhelming 7th position in the league after 15 game-weeks. Meanwhile in the Champions League, Napoli’s qualification is still not guaranteed after 5 rounds.
Hence it has been reported that the Italian manager can leave the Naples based club after the game against Genk which is scheduled for tonight.
On the other side, Arsenal is going trough one of the difficult phases in the Premier League era and have sacked their recent manager Emery.
In response, Ljungberg was given the charge at the club on temporary basis and considering Ancelotti is available, the Arsenal board can snub to extend the tenure of the former Arsenal legend.
The Gunners have not been phenomenal ever since Ljungberg has joined and have won only a single match out of the three matches he has taken charge. Nevertheless, the North London club had a drought of Premier League clubs for 60 days before it.

It has been claimed by Romano that Arsenal’s board think of Ancelotti very highly and can extend an offer to him. Thus, it still remains to be seen whether Arsenal will pounce on the opportunity or would rather stick with Ljungberg.
