Kesrick Williams responds to Kevin Pietersen’s “Not good enough” statement
Kesrick Williams responds to Kevin Pietersen: The West Indian fast bowler opened up on former English captain’s statement.
West Indies fast bowler Kesrick Williams has been doing the rounds in India primarily because of his on-field battles against India captain Virat Kohli. Williams and Kohli were expressive throughout the three-match T20I series although not crossing their lines.
While it started with Kohli emulating Williams’ celebration in Hyderabad, the battle saw a turn after Williams dismissed Kohli in the second T20I in Thiruvananthapuram.
It is worth mentioning that Williams has backed his celebrations with equally good returns with the ball in hand. In 24 T20Is since his debut in 2016, Williams has been the highest wicket-taker in the format with 41 wickets at an average of 17.65 and a strike rate of 12.7.
Kesrick Williams responds to Kevin Pietersen
Considering Williams’ performance, former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar hailed him to be the “Perfect bowler for IPL conditions” on social media platform Twitter.
Go for Kesrick Williams guys. Perfect bowler for IPL conditions. #IPLAuction

@RCBTweets should pouch him given the chemistry he shares with @imVkohli I can see the captain and the bowler comparing notes after a dismissal! Brilliant!!! @CoachHesson @KP24

It was at this point in time that Pietersen replied to the conversation albeit in an opposing manner. Not finding Williams worth an IPL contract, Pietersen believed that celebration is Williams’ only specialty.
Soon after, Williams didn’t shy away from responding to Pietersen’s tweet. While he didn’t say much, it seems he will let his bowling do the talking in the times to come.
Completely disagree. He’s not good enough! He has nothing special apart from his celebration…

Yes Kevin he has nothing. Other than the title of being the highest wicket taking pacer in t20 internationals since he made his debut (Sept 2016)
