Harry Kane Injury: Jose Mourinho fears worst amidst irreplaceable Kane’s injury
Harry Kane Injury: Jose Mourinho fears worst amidst irreplaceable Kane’s injury; yet to get the final update on his return this season.
Tottenham Hotspur faced horror when their star striker Harry Kane pulled his hamstring injury while playing against Southampton in the last game-week of the Premier League.
There couldn’t have been anything worse than the defeat against the Saints, the fans felt but seeing Kane marching out of the pitch made the fans of the North London club worried about their season amidst the crucial month of January.
The same feeling is shared by Spurs’ manager Jose Mourinho, who in his press conference has said that he fears worst for the club with the confirmation of Kane’s unavailability yet to come but have the knowledge of the severity of the damage.
“If you ask me just my feeling, good news or bad news, I am more bad news than good news, what the player felt, Harry Kane, leaving a match the way he did,” he said.
“He didn’t think twice, didn’t take him two seconds to realise the severity of the situation. Mourinho said it is “too soon” for 17-year-old Troy Parrott to fill Kane’s boots, but that he is “not thinking about the [transfer] market”. he further said.
Kane is the primary scorer of Tottenham and his consistency has certainly made the club over-reliant on his services, thus his departure for a significant time period can harm the Lilywhites’ interests.
The English striker might miss the matches against Liverpool, Manchester City and the first leg against RB Leipzig in the Champions League knockout stage, which adds up the concerns of Tottenham fans.
With Parrott not ready according to Mourinho, it seems that Dele Alli will take the central role against Liverpool in the next game in the Premier League.
