Virat Kohli gives send-off to Kane Williamson: The Indian captain oozed aggression after his counterpart was dismissed cheaply.
During the second day of the second Test of the ongoing India’s tour of New Zealand in Christchurch, India captain Virat Kohli put on display his aggressive side after India dismissed New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.
It all happened on the first delivery of the 30th over when Williamson edged a delivery from India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah behind the stumps to Rishabh Pant.
In a delivery which was leaving Williamson, he would have left it alone early on in his innings on most days. However, him flirting with danger saw him walking back to the pavilion after scoring 3 (8).
After New Zealand opening batsmen stitched a 66-run opening partnership chasing India’s 242, Kohli was ecstatic as his bowlers dismissed two batsmen in quick succession.

Kohli, who was witnessed sitting with Williamson on the boundary line in the fifth T20I, didn’t let the off-field companionship affect his on-field behaviour as he celebrated jubilantly after the latter got out.
Having lost middle-order wickets on a constant basis, New Zealand got bundled out for 235 in 73.1 overs as India registered a 7-run lead.
Having scored 52 (122) with the help of five fours, New Zealand opening batsman Tom Latham was their highest run-scorer. With bowling figures of 23.1-3-81-4, India pacer Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Apart from Shami, Bumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja picked three and two wickets respectively.
