Juventus superstar tested positive for coronavirus, the Italian was on the bench during the game against Inter Milan in the last game-week.
Juventus has confirmed that their player Daniele Rugani is tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. The club said the 25-year-old defender is currently not showing signs of any COVID-19 symptoms, but have confirmed that he has contracted the illness.
Rugani has reportedly been kept in isolation and the club has promised to protect the staff and players at the club, whoever came in contact with him during the process.
A statement from the club read: “The footballer Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.
“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including the census of those who have had contact with him.”
Rugani who has only made 7 appearances for Juventus this season, was listed as the substitute during the Serie game played against Inter Milan on Sunday behind closed doors amidst coronavirus scare.
The Italian International posted a photo on Twitter following Juventus’ win over Inter, showing the Italian international celebrating with his team-mates in the dressing room.

Earlier on Sunday, the Italian government was on verge of suspending Serie A as the match between SPAL and Parma was delayed amidst the ambiguity around the decision, but the league was later resumed.
Italy has been put on lockdown this week due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the number of dead nationally has risen by 196 to 827 in a day – a jump of 31 per cent.
Turin-based side Juventus play in the capital of the Italian region of Piedmont in northern Italy, close to the epicentre of the virus outbreak in Bergamo.
With this Italian prime minister, Giuseppe Conte has announced that all sporting fixtures including all Serie A matches are suspended until at least April 3 due to coronavirus fears.
