Emmanuel Adebayor sent off for attempting karate kick on an opposite team’s player while playing for a new club Olimpia in Paraguay.
Emmanuel Adebayor once a famous name in European footballer is now plying his trade in Paraguay. However, his start has not been a merry one as he was sent off for a horrible act on field while playing for his new team Olimpia.
Adebayor received his marching orders after a shocking airborne challenge on Defensa’s Enzo Coacci. Coacci got to the ball first before the Togo striker steamed into him with studs first tackle to the head.
Adebayor realises his mistake immediately and holds his hands up but was shown no sympathy by the referee. The ex-Premier League star joined the 11th club of his on a free transfer when he signed for the Paraguayan side Olimpia in February.

He has yet to score for his new team, but he has made a huge impact in the form of a crazy sending off. Meanwhile, Adebayor posted on Twitter after the game that it was never his intention to hurt the player.
He wrote: “SEA, tough game today! What a great team spirit, and what a win boys @elclubolimpia. Sad to leave the pitch early on a Jackie Chan challenge. It was never my intention to hurt my opponent, and I’m glad he is okay.” his social media post read.

Adebayor had an illustrious career in England, where he played for top Premier League clubs – Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.

His 10-year-long spell in England came to an end when he signed for Istanbul Basaksehir in 2017 and then played for Kayserispor. Before making his move to the South American football in the last days of his career.
