Wilfried Zaha resorts to ‘mum jokes’ after Reece James taunts from Chelsea fan after Crystal Palace’s loss to the Blues in the Premier League.
Wilfried Zaha is one of the top wingers in the Premier League. The Ivorian is good enough to play for quite a number of top teams in the world. In fact, Arsenal were in the running to sign him this summer. However, Crystal Palace’s huge asking price drove the Gunners away.

The winger has reiterated his desire to play for a Champions League side multiple times. However, his performance against Chelsea was not a good advertisement for him. Chelsea’s young right back, Reece James, was making his full debut for Chelsea. Naturally, the Ivorian would have fancied his chances against the 19-year old.
However, in a surprising turn of events, it was the young James instead, who dominated the more seasoned winger. It seemed that everything Zaha tried, James already knew how to counter. The winger ended up putting in a disappointing performance and Zaha was mocked for being in Reece James’ pocket.

A video has now emerged on twitter showing Chelsea fans taking the mickey out of Zaha by reminding him that Reece James had him in his pocket. Zaha then replied with a joke that would only leave elementary school children in stitches.
The Chelsea fan said: ‘Reece James – in the pocket’
Zaha then retorted by saying ‘I had your fu**ing mum in my pocket’.
As far as comebacks go, this was on the same level as his performance at Stamford bridge; very poor.
It’s quite natural for footballers to go through setbacks. Almost everyone does. However, how they come back from it is what separates the good players from the great. Zaha could be rattled at having a teenager get the better of him or he could strengthen his resolve to never let it happen to him again. Only time will tell.
