With a rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking help from the citizens regarding donating towards Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund.
Numerous business tycoons and Bollywood celebrities are coming forward to donate generously in a bid to make sure that fellow citizens get the best of facilities.

After BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) President Sourav Ganguly and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, senior batsman Suresh Raina has become the latest celebrity from the cricketing fraternity to donate towards the noble cause.
Announcing about his contribution on social media platform Twitter, Raina mentioned that he will be donating a combined of INR 52 lakh in two parts, i.e., towards both the PM Care’s Fund and Uttar Pradesh CM’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Dropped from the T20I squad after home series against England 2017, Raina was recalled before the tour of South Africa in 2018. Before getting dropped again in the same year, Raina had scored 298 runs in 13 T20Is at an average of 27.09 and a strike rate of 143.96 including a lone half-century.
