Marsch told Liverpool Echo’s Blood Red podcast:
“He is happy [at Liverpool] – he has talked about training being good and the guys being good guys.
“Taki will only turn up every day and do everything possible to try to improve.
“We’ve texted and checked in on different things. I give him a hard time about learning better English because I had to learn so much German, and now it’s his turn to come to my side a little more.
“But he knows nothing will be given to him but he is willing to work for whatever – that’s his mentality.”
Minamino has been limited to just 8 appearances since switching sides in the summer.
He has openly spoken on the subject and claimed that he would strife to impress his boss Jurgen Klopp back in March.
“I have been in this club for three months and I haven’t played many games and my playing time is not that much – but this is not a good excuse,” said Minamino.
“In order to appeal to my teammates and [for them to] understand what I’m good at, I have to do what I really need to do.
“I think I’m still [learning] to fully understand the team, but I still hate to wait. In order to make an instant impact and make a contribution to the team, I’m doing my best every day.
“I only have limited chances but when the manager needs me, I have to show the results of the manager’s expectations.”
