Formula 1 Coronavirus: FIA confirms two positive cases of Coronavirus ahead of Hungarian Grand Prix; race will still go on.
The FIA has confirmed that two positive cases have been found after the recent testing round before the race in Hungarian Grand Prix. According to the officials, the race will still gon on as both individuals have already been separated from the rest.
A statement read: “The FIA and Formula 1 can today confirm that between Friday 10th July and Thursday 16th July, 4,997 tests for COVID-19 have been performed on drivers, teams and personnel.
“Of these, two people have tested positive. The individuals were not present in Austria, with the affected people removed from operations and isolated.
“Tracing of close contacts completed and isolated. The FIA and Formula 1 are providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency.
“No specific details as to teams or individuals will be provided by the FIA or Formula 1 and results will be made public every 7 days.” the statement concluded.

The identity of the two individuals has been kept confidential to maintain the privacy of both. But has been assured that they are not team drivers.
Formula 1- Coronavirus will not affect anything
Last Month, F1 CEO Chase Carey openly claimed that the Formula 1 season will not stop even if a team has to back out from the races with rising cases.
Therefore, finding two positive cases that too from the staff will not change anything for the bosses at the apex. It is notable that FIA took quick cognizance of the situation and quarantined two individuals.
The Hungarian GP had its first day on the track on Friday, with Sebastian Vettel making a shock run. On Saturday FP3 and qualifying is awaited and finally the race on Sunday.
