WATCH: MS Dhoni’s lightning glove work sends Gunathilaka to the Pavillion
MS Dhoni has made a habit of effecting lightning quick run outs and stumpings. His unconventional style helps him provide India with some crucial breakthroughs, especially when the bowlers are finding it tough to get through the opposition. He did something very similar today while effecting Gunathilaka’s run out to get India back in the game.
Gunalithaka and Kusal Mendis were formulating a wonderful partnership in the middle, taking calculative risks, knocking the ball around for singles and slowly pushing India out of the game.
Gunathilaka had helped the ball towards the square leg boundary and it looked as if the batsmen were content with the single but just as the first run was completed, Gunathilaka called for the second but came short against Yadav’s rocket arm and Dhoni’s lightning quick glove work.
Yadav sent in a quick throw and Dhoni was quick to remove off the bails to send Gunathilaka back to the pavillion and give India some sort of hope in the game.
