Ferrari launches Esports series; winner will earn spot in FDA Hublot Esports team
Ferrari launches its own Esports series, also announced that the winner of the series will grab a spot in the FDA Hublot Esports team.
Ferrari comes with a great surprise for the Esport fraternity, especially the ones who are in virtual motorsport gaming. The Italian F1 team has released its own Esports series.
The game will officially be on the floor this winter and the winner of the series will earn a spot in Ferrari Driver Academy Hublot Esports team in 2021.
Ferrari has also announced that their superstar Charles Leclerc will be the ambassador for the championship. The Monégasque is also an Esports icon while being an F1 driver with thousands of followers subscribed to him on the Twitch.
He is reportedly going to follow the series and will offer advice to participants based on his experience as both a real-world and esports driver.
How will Ferrari unroll the debut season?
The age requirement for a participant is above 18 and the person has to be based in Europe, though in following seasons, Ferarri is determined to call participants from the other continents.
Entries open on August 7 with qualifications for the Am championship starting in September. The winner of the Am competition will join the Am series with six racers making it through from each of the qualification rounds for a total of 24.
Meanwhile, the Pro series will also have 24 drivers, an amalgamation of invited sim racers and well-known personalities, the Pros will also race on the same track as of Am series.
Then the 12 fastest drivers each from Am and Pro Series from the four races in October will compete in the finals in November. The winner of the tournament will go on to join Enzo Bonito and reigning F1 Esports champion David Tonizza at the FDA Hublot Esports team.
