Having completed their respective pre-season matches, the teams gear up for the Premier League, with new additions to the squads to compete in the UEFA matches and other domestic competitions.
Arsenal will be waiting to show the prowess of Lacazatte, who they signed from Lyon in the summer.
He has already showed his class in the pre-season matches, netting on his debut for the Gunners.
Meanwhile Chelsea managed to scoop up Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and Bakayoko from Monaco, among others.
It will be interesting to see how Conte lines up his men, with Hazard unavailable, and the dilemma to choose between Morata and Michy in the striker role. The real pressure is on Chelsea, who have to prove their mettle against a formidable Arsenal side.
Sunday’s community shield match will show how well the team has gelled and how ready they are to challenge for the Premier League next season.
