“That’s an hell of a Xmas present”- Romain Grosjean cheers fans by giving his recovery update post the Bahrain Grand Prix crash.
Nobody liked the way Romain Grosjean bowed out from Formula 1, as many opined that the French star deserved a decent ending to his decade long run in the sport.
And what could have been better than witnessing him recover from a horrific crash at Bahrain Grand Prix, a fairy tale ending indeed.
Looking on the bright side, Grosjean almost three weeks later to the incident has provided an update about his recovery and fans are delighted as he claims it’s the best Xmas gift he ever got.
“Seven fingers back to normal. That’s an hell of a Xmas present,” writes Grosjean in his last Instagram Post.

In the video posted by Grosjean his right hand was finally out of bandages while his other hand was covered and seemed to need a little bit more time to recover.
Romain Grosjean may take some time off
For Grosjean, the incident was naturally a traumatic incident and seeing it ended being his final F1 moments technically, it left a mark on him as confessed by him earlier.
Earlier speculated to join IndyCar series, Grosjean few days after the accident has claimed that he might take some time off from the competitive Motorsport and give time to his family.
On the other hand, Haas has moved on and replaced him and his partner Kevin Magnussen by appointing Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher, who will be debuting in Formula 1 in 2021.
With Haas in dire need of funds, this situation was foreseen as Mazepin’s father injecting mammoth investment from Russia to keep the only American team afloat, feels geopolitically absurd.
